Frustrated by the market’s lack of a proper high-performance hotend? Still searching for something better than what you’ve seen again and again? Look no further – The Chube Hotend meets all requirements for high-flow, high-speed, high-temperature printing in a reliable, cost effective, patent-pending solution. There’s nothing that comes close in a similar package. We have your answer.

Massive meltzone in a compact hotend

Boasting either a 42mm or 52mm long meltzone in the Air or Conduction configurations, the Chube Hotend is one of the most compact high-flow hotends on the market. With all that meltzone, the Chube Hotend is lightweight: the Air weighs in at 69g, and the Conduction at 74g. The overall length vs meltzone ratio is unparalleled. The grams per meltzone in a 500c capable hotend is unmatched.

Featuring Chalice Heatbreak technology

The Chalice Heatbreak uses aerospace materials combined with a hardened, lubricious surface treatment to provide an unrivaled printing experience. The thin, unibody break can withstand extreme temperatures and abrasive materials with ease while still preventing heat creep; keeping the surrounding components cold. The cup design of Chalice provides an ideal seat for the bowden tube and smoothly guides filament into the generous meltzone.

All components rated for 500c operation - including the provided metal cooling shield!

Every part of the Chube Hotend is crafted from the finest materials available, and is designed to take abuse from most punishing polymers and environments. Every component in the Chube Hotend is rated for a 500c block and 300c ambient environment. The integrated stainless steel part-cooling shield protects the Chube Hotend from thermal shock and keeps the polymer flowing, with an added bonus of reduced power draw, compared to silicone based solutions.

Extremely stiff for faster printing

The patent-pending tube [/tʃuːb/] structure of the Chube provides an exceptional high-speed printing experience. Strength is a core property of the Chube design. No more broken hotends from nozzle swaps. No more failed supports, or snapped heatbreaks, from barely-lifted prints. The strength and rigidity also translates to print quality - reducing deflection during acceleration provides a faster, cleaner print; increasing productivity while retaining part quality.

Uses Standardized Components

We believe in standards. The Chube Hotend maintains compatibility with common RepRap nozzles, cartridge heaters, and temperature sensors. All components are easily available and non-proprietary.

No more tiny threads - M3 only!

However, some standards need to change for the better.  Operators can rejoice that the Chube Hotend is assembled and mounted with M3 hardware - not M2.5, not M1.6, no smaller hardware is anywhere on the unit. Not only does the Chube Hotend have M3 hardware, but the flathead screws are torx, which significantly reduces the likelihood of stripping. In addition to user-friendly hardware, the Chube Hotend also utilizes a new 6x18mm bolt pattern: this provides multiple fastening options, unidirectional strength, and a reliable connection to your motion system, even with plastic toolheads.

It just works.

Chube Air is a beautifully made and thoughtfully designed hotend. It feels like it is a cut above the rest the moment you take it out of the packaging, and it's kept feeling like that the entire time I've had it. It is rock solid mechanically and has been extremely resistant to heat creep compared to every other hotend I have used. It can push some impressive flowrates and temperatures as well, but for me the best part is being sure that whatever the problem with my printer is, it's not some subtle deformation or cooling issue with my hotend. The care that went into making this is really evident, down to the ability to easily extract heaters and thermistors if their wires break off. I will not be buying any hotend other than Chube for my printers going forward.

I'll update this review if I ever manage to break the thing.

Can't recommend this hotend enough

The summary for those who don't want to read, this thing is amazing and its frankly a bargain for what you get.

Previous to Chube, I have killed 7 hotends including some pricier hotends like Dragon UHF and Mosquito. I lost around $800 on hotends in 6 months only printing around 12kg of filaments, this cost doesn't even include the substantial opportunity cost resulting from downtime. Chube Air at $260 and Conduction at $320 is an amazing deal for anyone printing large quantities of filament for industrial or personal use, especially considering the competition's offering at a much higher price bracket.

Team Chube, this is a top tier design and I am extremely looking forward to what you folks have in store next.
